Friday Night Racing!

For over 45 years, a red foresail sweeping across the Bay signalled someone was sailing with CANADA's top sailing organization – the JIB SET.

Founded in 1968, the Jib Set is a true sailing community that fostered MENTORING, SEAMANSHIP and most of all – FUN.

If you are contemplating taking a sailing course or have recently completed one or you are an experienced sailor looking for a way to pursue your passion, we will show you how JIB SET offers a comprehensive and economical program.

Our club provides you with all the benefits of boat ownership without actually having to buy a boat. And our boats aren’t just ordinary boats; they are Martin 244 pocket cruisers – arguably the best in their class on the planet!

Join us for exciting fun filled Friday nights spent on the water with fellow sailors in friendly competition. The emphasis is fun over competition. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other sailing enthusiasts and learn about our tried and true path that has initiated literally tens of thousands of lower mainland residents into the sailing lifestyle. After the racing we have a barbecue at the club house to socialize and put crews together for the upcoming weekend's sailing activities. Meet at the JIB SET clubhouse at 5 PM.

Notes for Non-Jib Set Members:

1) The drop-in fee is only $50. Please bring cash.

2) The BBQ – Burger or brat – is $6.00. BYOB.

3) Drop-in fees are 100% refundable within a year toward full JIB SET membership.

4) Dress for the weather and bring non-marking, safe footwear (good traction, no open toes or slip-ons).

Visit for more information.

See you there!

Avocado is a great idea. I'd like it drizzled with a light dressing of fermented oyster stomach and nborne octopus!
