Come and join us for a fun Thursday Night Social Run or Power (Speed) Walk!!

This is a great series for those of you who are pressed for time and will enjoy a short 3 mile to 4 mile run or walk in good company. If you only want to run or walk 2 miles or feel like doing more than 4 please join us, our program is flexible to meet every member's needs.


We will always focus on form and depending on the interest of members coming out will work on pushing pace and endurance, however, the intensity will not be as great as our Saturday runs, since most members are coming after work, or class etc. If you are a beginner looking for an introduction to running you will find the support of members coming out great!!


Be prepared to power walk; learn and develop techniques to maximize your walking workouts. As with members running you will focus on form and be encouraged to work on your pace and build endurance. If you have small hand weights or ankle weights bring them with you. If want to take your walking to the next level and speed walk we will direct you so you get on that track!


All members will workout (abs, upper body) and stretch together before splitting up into groups to run or walk.


We will decide on the route when we get together and include terrain that is flat as well as hills so you will enjoy a cardio-work out with a great mix- ideal if you are recovering from an injury.

Bag check & place to change:

Please go to the Running Company Store located on the 2nd floor of The Time Warner Center. There are bins behind the register. It is not a formal bag check but so far no one in our group has had an issue with this. Find a bin for your things or leave your bag near the bins on the floor. You can change in rest rooms that are located on the 2nd floor or ask if you can use a dressing room.

Tip: During Spring and Summer months when I like to run longer after work I will change at work, just carry essentials, ID, keys, wallet, Metrocard, etc., leave my clothes in the office and bring it home the following day.

Wait time:

We will wait 10 minutes for anyone who is delayed. If you are going to arrive later than that you must call or text so we can let you know if the group can wait, where you can meet up with the group, etc. We do not want anyone to run alone but it is not fair to keep other members of the group waiting too long either. If you are not able to make it please update your RSVP. You can enter comments in the meetup announcement well.

Notice Regarding Weather/Cancellation:

From shorts and tanks to hoodies and hats. We will run in all seasons. Please check your e-mails, the team's google calendar or meetup page for changes or cancellations due to heavy rain, snow, etc. A group text message may also be sent.

Event Hosts, Assistant Organizers Wanted:

There are times I will be out of town for business and cannot coordinate team runs & walks. Please consider volunteering as an Event Host or being an Assistant Organizer. You do not have to be the most experienced runner our there though having some experience and knowledge is helpful. The most important skills needed are ability to keep people motivated, facilitate introductions, manage RSVP's and event updates, help members coordinate splitting up into groups.
