Tell us about yourself in English, Japanese or both. Please also confirm that you are over 21 years of age in your intro.

Tatoeba donna koto ga ii no kashira...nande ka wakarimasen ga, kodomo no koro kara watashi ha nihon no bunka ya kotoba ni kyoumi ga arimasu. nihongo wo benkyou suru tame ni J-pop no kyoku wo kikihajimete, ki ni itte, toku ni karaoke ni iku no ga daisuki na koto ni narimashita. ato ha...nani ga shiritai desu ka ne.

Just how much of a Karaoke addict are you?

I am insatiable. I hum to myself at my desk ALL DAY at work. It is a serious problem. I do not do the whole public karaoke bar thing (ugghh) but if we get a room and we all agree not to mind each other's croaking, I could go for ages.

Where is your favorite place to sing Karaoke?

I don't know enough about all the options here. I have been to Duet a few times and there was this other random place in K-town I went to once. Preferred Duet...35 probably. Sorry if this was not a useful answer.

Which are your favorite Japanese and English artists or music genres to sing in?

Just going to name whatever I can think of. Nakashima Mika, Utada Hikaru, Sakamoto Maaya, Kanno Youko, (ahem) Hamasaki Ayumi (I'm not proud of it just deal!), whatever I know from whatever anime I've seen (not so comprehensive but I do actually know a good amount of the music, I think). There's more here and there but that's what I can think of for now. As for English: now that's a lot harder to narrow down, isn't it. I'll do anything I can follow along with that doesn't annoy the shit out of me. Does that help at all?

How did you hear about this group?

One of my friends actually saw a Hindi Karaoke group she thought I might be interested in and that kind of eventually led me here. So glad it did!

Hajimemashite! Samhitha to mooshimasu. I lived in Nagoya for almost two years and have really been missing the old karaoke trips. I am looking for the people who share my interest in the Japanese language and love of karaoke!

What Samhitha is saying about this Meetup Group
