These are the busses that stop at Aberdeen Promenade. You have to walk a little bit back. And then you see the entrance to Tsui Wah Ponton. A single fare is HK$20.00. The exact fare is appreciated at the counter there. The ferry leaves at 10.00h sharp. Therefore be early, 9.30h, that everyone can purchase the ticket on time. We can have lunch on the island. There is a small restaurant and we try to book a table in advance. At 16.00h we take the ferry back to Aberdeen. LAST FERRY!!!!!!!
Po Toi is a small island with beautiful sea- and landscape. Further inland there a some abandoned villages that have their own atmosphere and are great photo locations as well.
What to bring: Camera, Tripod, Wide angle lens, 50mm lens, ND filter. Don't worry if you do not have such extended camera gear. Compact will do as well. Until now everyone went home from Po Toi with good shots.
There is a lot to see and to shoot. And if you want to take a "Time Out" from shooting just sit at the tranquil beach and relax.
For some of you who would like to stay for the sunset, here's an offer made by a friend who owns a yacht. The yacht that can take 8 people back after 8 pm. It's a private yacht and the owner is charging HK$125 per person if he can get 8 persons. If there's less people, the cost will be distributed evenly among the people.
Remember, it's only for the trip back! The pic of the yacht is here.
