We're hoping to shoot the terraces in the snow. But even without snow Guilin is a really magical place, especially in winter time so photography will be great. First two nights will be in Dazhai, then last night in Yangshuo staying at the beautiful retreat house on the banks of the Li River. The flipside is the terraces will be freezing and we'll spend much of the time there without heating in the cold. If we're lucky the aircons in our room will give some heat but that is all. More details to come.

The third night at the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat (http://www.yangshuomountainretreat.com/) the same one Jenny refers to. This is 4 star like accommodation which means its very nice and comfortable with aircon/heating and amenities but no internet and TV (there is a TV set in the room but only for DVDs).

    Hi Ming,
This trip we stayed three nights in three different hotels. First night in Guilin City at the Tongde Holiday Hotel (no website but they show up on Google, its pretty basic, no heating just aircon), second night in Longji at the Countryside Cafe and Inn (also on Google, the only place in the terraces with heaters in the rooms but its not powerful enough to even warm up the half the room so be prepared for the cold, tap water is freezing but hot & freezing water in the shower (con't)

Hi Ming, I think I have the Resort and Hostle name cards at home, I'll post here for everyone.
There is an Italian Restaurant, quite good atmosphere but don't expect too much of western food in Guilin. A Dutch guy living there, he is a manager of a Resort there as well as a photographer, I'll check the information for you. Stay in touch...sloooow motion Jenny during Chinese New Year Holiday....

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
