Thank you Kelly and Joel for extending the invite. Unfortunately I already made plans to visit a friend upstate today because I didn't want to hang around NY, I didn't see your e-mails till now and I already made plans thinking I wasn't going to run.

Thank you and definitely look forward to meeting up and running (or maybe fast walking as a start. Happy New Year!

I think I'm going to wait until I've ran a little because it sounds like I might have a different definition of "beginner" than most of you.
I've never run before so I probably need to start on my own and then join the group.
Thank you anyways. Have fun, L

Hi Lourdes! Join us! This meetup is unique in that it takes place at a gym. If you are advanced or a beginner, in this case it doesn't matter because we can hop on a treadmill and do our thing or we can go strength train at one of the machines. We have a great diversity of choices. And honestly, most of the actual runs where we run outside involve just me or a small group. When I am alone, I tend to take it easy because of an old knee injury. When we are in a small group, we chat while we run. Everyone has been really nice so far. :)

So for tomorrow's run, I figured it would be nice to run inside the nice, warm gym. They mailed me these 3 coupons for a 2-week complimentary gym membership to New York Sports Clubs. For the coupons to get activated, you would need to bring a photo ID with you and you will be asked to fill out an information sheet.

They have lockers which you are free to use to store things, but you have to bring your own lock since locks are not provided. They have individual shower stalls with shampoo and body wash. Does anyone have any questions? Please respond to let me know that you received this message. Thanks :)
