The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park began in the late nineteenth century as a small exhibition of Florida reptiles and became a quintessential Florida attraction. Today it functions as a modern zoo serving the public and the scientific community with educational shows and exhibits, important research and worldwide conservation efforts. The Alligator Farm’s history as an attraction and an accredited zoo is nearly as exciting as zipping across the Alligator Lagoon on Crocodile Crossing, the park’s thrilling new zip-line attraction. Attractions include albino alligators, Wading Bird rookery, Birds of Africa, exotic birds and mammals, and more!
I’ve booked the 10:00am start time in Crocodile Crossing Zip Line for the Nile River Course. The cost is $65.00 for an adult and we must arrive 15 minutes early. Lace up shoes or boots are required.
YOU MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. Go to http://www.alligatorfarm.com/ to book reservations and purchase zip line tickets ASAP.
We will meet in the parking lot of the Publix located at 4495 Roosevelt Blvd and figure out carpooling needs. The drive to the hike will be about 86 miles round trip and we will share the cost of gas.
