San Marco, modeled after Venice Italy of North Florida, excites with eclectic neighborhoods and a business district following along the St. Johns River to what is now the Southbank of Jacksonville. This ride takes you from Friendship (Fountain) Park through the San Marco neighborhoods . The area boasts some of the most spectacular views of the river, along with statues, fountains, and other European architecture. Koi Ponds, Duck Ponds, and the river wildlife including bald eagles make this ride unique. One of the oldest sections of North Florida, San Marco has a personality of it's own with a mix of new and old. Shops, a boat ramp, restaurants, and The Museum of Science and History are available after the ride.
Length of Ride:11 miles with stops at historic and picturesque places en route.
Fitness Level: Varied for all types of riders. Some small inclines, but mostly flat terrain. Short rides on hills in grassy park.
Price: $62 per rider. $37 if you bring your own bike, helmet, water and snacks.
