What is a Stitch 'n Bitch?
It's just a bunch of folks getting together to knit, crochet, embroider, hand quilt and sew - basically any kind of portable needlework while socializing.
This is a group where time can be well spent in the company of others and chat, sip some coffee/tea while you're engaging in your favorite past time. If you're interested in any needlework just show up, bring your current project.
If you are new in town or lived here for quite some time now but would like to make friends come by and have a coffee with us. Your age and experience level doesn't matter either, this is a relaxed little group and everyone is welcome!
When is it?
We get together every Thursday at 4pm and stay as long as we enjoy ourselves.
How much does the membership cost and why is there a membership fee?
Membership fee is $4.00/person/month and it is due each month either on the 1st or if there's no Stitch n' Bitch on the 1st, then the closest one after it.
Meetup.com charges me $45 for 3 month for the maintanence of this web page, where new members can find us and old ones can keep in touch. I don't charge anything extra above this $45 fee, and the remaining money is used for the group to buy yarn for instance, or pay for outings, or whatever else is needed/wanted.
