What we’re about
Do you live in Northeast Florida, love the ukulele and long to find others with whom to play? Then this is the group for you! We usually meet at the Mudville Grille (at Atlantic and Beach) the third Saturday afternoon of the month. Keep an eye on the schedule, because we sometimes deviate from that. There are additional gatherings from time to time.
Invite your friends, recommend sponsors, share music, and let's get a date on the calendar!

See all- Uke Jam this Saturday at Joseph’s Pizza on Main Street (Northside location)Joseph's Pizza on Main St, Jacksonville, FL
This month’s Jacksonville Ukulele Society jam will be held on Saturday, April 20th, at Joseph’s Pizza on Main Street (Northside location) from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Come early for lunch or snacks and support the venue who provide the room to us for free. We will be there at noon or shortly after. Towards the end of this month’s jam, we will take a vote on which location the group would prefer to hold future jams: Joseph’s Pizza, the Athen’s Café, or the Mudville Bar and Grill.
Everyone is welcome, but please do not come if you have been exposed to Covid recently or have symptoms that are associated with it. Some of our members are elderly and some have health issues. We want to provide as safe an environment as possible.

They are very friendly, and they have what looks like the perfect room for us. It is separate from the main dining room, larger than the room at Mudville, and they also have a TV. Their pizza is very good, and they have a large selection of Italian and Greek style foods and deserts. There is plenty of parking. You can check out the menu online, just be careful to click on the menu for their Northside location (the Beaches location is smaller and often crowded).

For those of you who are new to the JUkes (Jacksonville Ukulele Society) jams:
The monthly jams are normally scheduled for the third Saturday of each month. We are a very welcoming group for beginners to advanced players and for those who just want to sing along or are interested in the ukulele.
The songs for the jam will be projected from our laptop onto a large screen TV. All of the songs in the Dropbox folders are on our computer, as well as the songs from Jumpin' Jim's Ukulele Songbooks – the yellow one and the blue one. The jam will start with a few easy songs to warm up and to welcome any beginners. Then everyone will have a turn to choose songs. When your turn comes, you can choose a song to lead or request a song for someone else to lead or just pass and play or sing along to the songs others select.
Love,
Cee Cee & Ken
