I have set up an identical meet up for August 18, but this time with the information that it is necessary to purchase your ticket before your Meetup RSVP.
My apologies for the inconvenience to those (like me) who showed up July 14 only to be turned away because we did not advance order our tickets.

Since we didn't know we had to sign up online at the Branch House website, we we not able to do the talk and tour. But they said they do it monthly, so lets try again.

I did purchase my tix ahead of time and I really enjoyed the tour. I knew nothing of Branch or Pope, the architect that designed the home before so I found it quite interesting.

The tour guide was hard to hear. I am unsure if she provided some history on the Branch's, as I wasn't able to hear her. She did tell us we were her first tour and I thought she was knowledgeable. I thought we would get to see more of the house than we did. I loved what I saw though. It's like Richmond's Downton Abbey.

It was a nice tour, never knew much about the branch house before. Interesting place, especially cool where they hid the booze during prohibition!

I was also there and could not get in. They said we had to have signed up on the Branch House website in order to have a spot in the group of 20 max. They do this tour monthly, so we will have to try again, on their website next time.

I was informed when I arrived at the Branch House that they were fully booked for today's event. Unfortunately I did not purchase a ticket in advance.
I hope others did not have this experience, and will be interested in learning from those who did attend how it was.

That is a beautiful building. I always thought it was part of a church complex.
