March 13, 9 am, Inventory of trail structures

A group  met with James River Trail Manager Michael Burton Feb. 12 to plan for our upcoming volunteer efforts.

The first step in that process is to inventory all the wooden bridges and paths, take pictures and evaluate their condition.

This will be our fourth outing for this task.

This meet up is one of several to accomplish that.  I can use as many as three hikers to assist. We'll be evaluating structures on the following trails:
Buttermilk
River Trails South
North Bank
Forest Hills
Pony Pasture
Slave Trail
Wetlands
Huguenot Flatwater
Dogwood Dell Hiking
Dogwood Dell multi purpose
Larus

We'll drive close to the sites from Stuart Circle and see how much progress we can make in 3 to 4 hours.

Who wants to help?
