The purpose of our meet up group, James Corwin Johnson Photo Experience, is to shoot, learn, and have fun. Our vision is to continue to raise the bar on our photographic and digital imaging skills, through Workshops, Travel, and Photo Walks.

The classes, trips and workshops are designed to be interesting, and unique, photographing locations, with instructors and guides that are willing to share knowledge about digital, and photo imaging techniques, as well as their ideas, and locations.

The programs include: Studio, portraiture, macro, infrared, fashion and glamour, nature and wildlife and birding.. In addition we offer instruction in Photoshop, printing, presentation, and more. The Trips and workshops travel the world, from California, Africa, and India.

For more than thirty years, James Corwin Johnson has been teaching his breath-taking style of photography to his students from around the world. First time students describe the experience as a powerful “re-awakening”, “as if someone had removed the veil from my eyes”. It is small wonder so many of his proteges become successful photographers in their own right.

James is happiest with a camera in his hand and a student at his side.  Being able to share his experience and pass his craft is what drives him to travel the world sharing and teaching.
