Mindfulness and self compassion

Let's get together for a mindfulness practice followed by a brief discussion on self compassion.  These two powerful skills (mindfulness and self compassion) come together in a way that enables us to break free from old habits of being hard on ourselves.  Self compassion makes changes happen easier, challenges less painful, and relationships less critical.  This is a free three week series at the library. It is perfect for people new to these practices or seasoned vets.  Join us for one or come to all three.

It's so exciting to see that this group exists as it's right up my alley! I just checked out the upcoming meetups and unfortunately I work during the weekdays so I won't be able to attend, but I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for any potential evening or weekend meetups! Enjoy your first few meetups guys, I'm sure it'll be great!!

I'm so happy you found it! Sorry to hear about the tough times though :(. My hope is this series will be able to provide enough ideas and experiences to decrease the suffering we all have during our tough times. I will post some of my favorite resources on self-compassion under the discussions section just in case you are interested.

Thank you creating this group, Lori. I've had a rough year and been going through a lot and so this couldn't be better timing for me! ;) (It's also closer to home.)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
