Pleased to meet you all! welcome to The Japan Cultural Appreciation group!
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Japan Cultural Appreciation Group (JCAG) is to promote both Japanese and English language as well as Japanese culture. This is accomplished by providing a service that helps people to learn either language who may otherwise have learning or financial difficulties doing so. In a friendly environment, people from all over the world are connected, allowing them to understand the importance of the language and the culture, as well as make new friends in the process regardless of location.

ＪＣＡＧ団体の目的は日本文化と共に日本語、英語両方の促進を全ての人に推進することにある。
それは日本語英語の語学を学びたい方々を推奨し、経済的に恵まれない人へも優しい設定でのサービスの提供により遂行する。友好的な環境、世界中の人との交流、語学、文化シェアの重要性を相互理解する環境を作りだし、ひとつのロケーションで世界の人たちと友達を作ってもらうことが目的である。

このグループでどんなイベントが開かれますか？
· Cultural Awareness: Movies/Music&Musical Performances/Current Issues
· 文化意識：映画、音楽や現在の話題などに関するイベントと討論を行います。
Movie Section: Refers to Japanese movies, Anime, Theatrical performances and such. If you are interested on any of the mentioned above, then keep an eye out for these meet ups!
映画セクション：日本の映画、アニメや劇場活動などに関するイベントのことです。

Music & Musical Performance Section: Refers to events concerning music and musical performances related to Japan. Whether it be a good will concert to help Japan, or a famous Japanese band playing in NYC, if this is what you are looking for, then by all means come to these meet ups!
音楽セクション：日本の音楽、又は日本に関する音楽演奏関連のイベントのことです。東日本大震災復興を応援するためのコンサートや、日本の有名歌手やバンドがニューヨークで演奏するコンサートに興味のある方なら是非ご参加下さい。
Cultural Section: This label will be for everything that involves Japanese culture. Such as food, art galleries, current issues in Japan, and other events that are only celebrated in Japan but also expanded and practiced here in the U.S.
文化系セクション：このセクションは、日本文化に関わる全てが組み込まれています。例えば、日本の食べ物、芸術、現代の話題などです。日本のみならず、米国においても活動されている日本文化の紹介です。
· Language Exchange: Lessons and Practice
· 言語交流：レッスンと練習を実施します。
If you are a Japanese-language student looking to practice your skills, or if you are a native Japanese speaker looking to practice English, this is the meetup for you! Private lesson services are also available for those who wish to learn outside of the meetup as well.
日本語を気軽に勉強したい方、又は英語を気軽に勉強したい日本人の方、是非ご参加下さい。
グループのミーティング時間以外に勉強したい方のためのプライベートレッスンも可能です。
**Please keep in mind that a lot of events might have more than one label!

Some guidelines to follow:
1) We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, color, sex, age, veteran status, or disability.
人種、宗教、国民性、性的指向、色、性別、年齢、退役軍人、障害者に基づき差別をしない。
2) While we encourage exchange and interaction, we would like to remind our members that if there is any sort of interaction they don’t feel comfortable with, they should feel free to inform one of the organizers.
交流会イベントの中で少しでも不快に感じる事などがあった場合、JCAGオーガナイザーにお知らせ下さい。
3) We are not liable for any interactions or altercations that may occur outside of our events. In the event of there being any issues or concerns the member has the right to approach one of the organizers, or email us at info.jcag@gmail.com.

4) Any member who harasses another member, or creates a disturbance towards the organization will be asked to leave politely.
メンバーが他のメンバーにハラスメント、JCAG団体への妨害行為をした場合は速やかに退席して頂きます。
5) In order to ensure that events run as smooth as possible and that we are prepared for our members, we encourage our members to RSVP; if your status changes then we ask that our members change their RSVP accordingly.
できるだけスムーズにイベントを行う為にＲＳＶＰ（予約）をとって頂くことをお勧めしています。もしステータスを変更される場合は予約も変更願います。
6) Our sessions have a determined start and end time, so in order to get the most benefit from our sessions we encourage you to be on time.
JCAG授業セッションは開始時間、終了時間が確定されていますので効率的に授業を受けて頂く為に時間厳守でお越し頂くことをお勧めします。
7) Unless stated otherwise, there are no refunds for an event attended under any circumstances.
どのような状況においても一旦お支払いが済まされますと返金は一切できません。
8) Registration for paid events is not complete unless payment has been made.
支払いが実際にされるまでは予約をとられても登録のみになりますので未完全予約ということになります。
9) Members are not allowed to promote their services of their own or for another group without the consent of an organizer; furthermore after receiving consent the group, service, and method of delivery for said services must adhere to our guidelines.
JCAGオーガナイザーの承認なしに、メンバー個人やグループのサービスなどの宣伝を行うことはできません。もし承認がおりたとしてもJCAGガイドラインに伴い、オーガナイザーの指示に従って行って頂きます。
10) We will try our best to tend to items that our members lose, but we are not liable for them.
JCAGは、できるだけ忘れ物、落し物には気を払いますが紛失などの責任は一切負いかねます。
