About The New York Japanese Culture Group
Please come on in and JOIN us, even if you do not know yet how to read and write basic HIRAGANA, the meaning of Konnichiwa, Dozo, Domo arigato, Kore-wa nan desu-ka?, hon, empitsu or other basic Japanese expressions or terms. YOU will learn these and more relatively fast.
Perhaps you may find a very skilled, patient and willing tutor within our Japanese Culture Group in New York. Please always be extra polite with a volunteer native speaker. Remain modest. Proposal of a reward of whatever nature may be misinterpreted and create a lingering uneasiness as an unfortunate result. Instead, offer to reciprocate by sharing your maternal language or other desirable skills, i.e. with computers, baseball, tennis, music, photography, etc. Establish a win-win relationship. Both parties will achieve much more!

Our cultural assemblage has a very serious and erudite format. We seek and transmit knowledge. We are also great at how to relax and enjoy clean fun without excessive familiarity.
The New York Japanese Culture Group is neither about dating, nor excessive familiarity, i.e. unwanted acts of affection, repeated phone calls, emails, transmissions of embarrassing pictures via any means. Stop! said by a man or a woman just means NO. Pushing it further constitutes harassment which is severely punishable under federal, state and local statutes.

Some people might get along at our educational and purely social meetings, then decide on their own will to share the very high cost of living in New York, get engaged, married to start a family, etc. However, please do not Sign In, if ANY of these intimacy-oriented activities is your sole pursuit and goal at this present time. Instead, you may want to visit and probe plenty expertly coordinated Singles and a slew of other groups accessible within our large Meetup.com community and elsewhere.
