Weekly Japanese Study Group

This is an opportunity to practice Japanese conversation, and discuss and study the grammar, particles, Kanji, and culture. The topic varies among all these, according to what people are interested in talking about and the natural flow of conversation.

Members of all levels are welcome, from absolute beginners on up, and there is never a prerequisite. Native speakers are also encouraged to attend, both to lend their expertise and to receive the benefit of a look at the structure of Japanese from an outside linguistic perspective.

Here's a photo of the area where we meet, for reference:

The meeting is free, with no membership dues, hourly costs, or other expenses.

Enjoyed the opportunity to speak Japanese for at least 2 hours, however got lost and ended up in Brooklyn because I'd made a mistake with the zip code...arrived in the end.

Liked, the part about the opportunity to speak Japanese, not getting lost (of course).

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
