Yes, but ever since I graduated college and my Japanese friends went back to Japan & pretty much forgot about me, my Japanese language skills and confidence to be around Japanese people are seriously lacking so definitely would like to improve :)
I was perhaps destined to be an enthusiast of Japanese and Asian Culture. Here's why: 1.) I was born in a Brooklyn Asian Community 2.) To this day in my house, I have this woven painting of Geisha hanging in the dinning area and when I was little, I would always stare at it with awe. 3.) Throughout my childhood, I would randomly watch subtitled Japanese dramas and game shows after doing homework Friday nights. 4.) Had a brother who lived in Japan (Served in the Marines). 5.) Have another brother who is into Japanese Video Games & Anime 6.) In JHS & HS, I always hung around Asian people (mostly Chinese ppl who introduced me more to Japanese pop culture). 7.) Studied Japanese in college.
Pretty much the influence I stated above that has grabbed a hold of me to be totally interested in this culture and people :)
Maybe (depends who reaches out to me and what they want collaborate on or if I ever have any ideas).
My name is Kristen. I lived in Upstate NY for 5 years and moved back here to NYC. I'm always looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends!
