Do I speak Japanese?__ seriously want to learn?__ want to teach?__

My Japanese is as rusty as a Soviet tractor. My goal is to increase my impoverished vocabulary and to better string sentences and ideas together. 何とか頑張りま~す。

Do I have a favorite Japanese culture story that I want to tell you?

Ask me about the time I visited my company's sister office in Tokyo.

Why?... Yes! Why am I interested in the culture and language of the people of Japan?

I grew up on anime but always knew that there was a deeper meaning and context involved than just fandom. It seems like I'm naturally attracted to Japanese art, music, comedy and story telling. I visited Kyoto and Tokyo last September and found the experience to be exhilarating, exhausting, humid, and delicious. I regret not being able to visit Osaka. Downtown no Gaki!

Will I help our Group as an Assistant Organizer, or a special event's Guest Organizer? Maybe__ No__ Yes__

Happy to help if I can.

__Yes, I have completed my Profile page and posted my modest passport-style ID photo to MAKE NEW FRIENDS faster & help all of you to find ME quick at our events. :)

I'm not uploading a sumi-e version of my mugshot. ;)

Born and raised in the USSR, I've been interested in Japanese art and culture for as long as I can remember. Weird fact: I created and help lead a Japanese anime film study class at Queens College.
