My Japanese is only at an advanced-beginner level and I'd seriously like to learn and be fluent one day.
In high school I worked at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where they host Sakura Matsuri events which I attended twice. It was really interesting watching koto players and dramas.
Japanese was my first exposure to learning a new language and even after stopping for a few years I found myself still recalling words and phrases and trying to practice on my own. I realized it was something I was passionate about and couldn't shake off. Watching Jvlogers and reading about Japan also have made me really want to go, either to teach or maybe just visit.
I'd be willing to help out once I've attended a few meet ups and felt that I could help.
Yes, I have.
I'm currently a college student pursuing a degree in physics at Manhattan College, but in my spare time I love practicing Japanese and learning about Japan through J-vlogers on youtube.
