This week we're meeting on Capitol Hill at the pub of choice for largish groups, the Elysian. They have a surprisingly decent menu, plenty of variety, and unlike the average pub, do a fairly decent job for vegetarians. They even have a curry tonkatsu (Schnitzel, if you're speaking German).
Plus they have lots of beer. If beer isn't your thing, they usually have hard cider, and a cocktail list if bubbly fermented things aren't your thing.
You must bring cash, or you will lose body parts. While we are letting people order whatever they're in the mood for, we're only being given one check with an automatic gratuity, so handing me your credit card will be met with a skeptical look full of disapproval, and you'll get to hold Kojiro while he's screaming that he wants to go home.
Bus access is super-easy, with routes 2, 10, 11, and 12 working out to be the most convenient. Parking can be a pain in the derriere, but there are usually spots hidden along 12th, 13th and 14th North of here.
Nijikai will probably be within stumbling distance. I think it's worth considering Von Trapp's again, but there are a ton of other possibilities because this part of Capitol Hill is the epicenter of all things involving late night drinking in Seattle.
