Open Seattle Japanese Language and Culture Meetup

This week is Dine Out For Life, which made finding a location for our group a bit tough but fortunately I found a place that is participating AND has room for us.

We'll meet at Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon, an old school Chinese dumpling joint that's been around forever. I'll order a ton of jiao-zi, both meaty and vegetarian, along with an assortment of entrees. If you have any unusual dietary requirements, please let me know in your RSVP.

Come and feast! 30% of your bill is going to the Dine Out for Life organization for AIDS research.

We want you to bring cash. Credit cards inspire violent reactions.

Snappy Dragon is in Roosevelt/Maple Leaf, depending on who you ask. The most convenient bus is route 68, but routes 66, 67, and 73 also get you pretty close, or a slightly longer walk from the nearest stop for Bothell/Kenmore route 312. Parking should be pretty easy; I don't think there's a private lot, but street parking is super easy around here.

Nijikai may be at the nearby Roosevelt Ale House or tiny dive bar Reservoir Tavern. Cooper's Alehouse is a half mile a way.

Pft. Got there at 8:45 and thought no one was there so I went home. For a 20 something group we're pretty quiet

I don't think anyone left the restaurant until after 9pm or so. If you went to Nijikai before we paid the bill you wouldn't have seen many people... We took up half of the room we were in at dinner.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
