Open Seattle Japanese Language and Culture Meetup

This week we'll meet in Eastlake, where you can choose between traditional Polish food (stuffed cabbage rolls, pierogy, kielbasa etc.), a few American standards, and pizza.

We'll order individually, but please come prepared with cash, and please come hungry. We may only be offered a single check. Handling a dozen credit cards keeps 2.5 year old Kojiro from going to bed at a reasonable hour, so your plastic will be met with a vicious stare, and possibly a violent toddler.

Bus access is super convenient with routes 49, 66, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 83, but not the express routes, so make sure you're boarding a regular route or you'll end up on the freeway just above the restaurant. I believe there is a small private parking lot for this restaurant but street parking is manageable if you don't find space there.

The nearest nijikai option is at Eastlake Bar and Grill, although you may consider hopping over to the university district or down to the Eastlake Zoo Tavern.

When this happens, please update your RSVP before the event. I can't quite do the math required to update our reservation based on comments. With an event this size, a few no-shows can make a large dent in our total space required and, when we share meals, can affect other people's bill.

Just updated mine. I'll try to remember to do so if this happens again in the future.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
