Open Seattle Japanese Language and Culture Meetup

  • May 16, 2013 · 7:30 PM

This week we'll be at Bamboo, a basic Vietnamese joint in Capitol Hill.

There's a small chance I'll try to attend another event (Ignite Seattle, a bunch of short talks by geeks on random topics) at Town Hall, so if anyone is willing to stand in for me please let me know.

While I'd normally order a bunch of things to share, this menu seems to lean more plate-centric so I'll let people order what they're in the mood for instead; feel free to share with your neighbors.

They'll probably only let us have one check, so please remember to bring plenty of real American currency so that we can settle the bill more readily. If I have to juggle a half dozen credit cards I will be very, very grumpy.

Parking is occasionally unpleasant in this neck of the woods, but there's usually something within a few blocks. Bus access is super easy with routes 8, 12, 43, and perhaps a few others.

Nijikai will be at one of the many fine drinking establishments along 15th, exact destination TBD.

Probably just arriving if you don't see anyone yet. I took my wife and son home due to fussy kiddo syndrome, but if you don't see anyone they may still be at the restaurant and not quite moved over yet.

    May 16, 2013

    • Jason T.

Nikolai couldn't make it as he got reassigned to reeducation work camp in Siberia, but Nijikai will be at 22 Doors across the street.

The dinner is 7:30, but I personally will be in the neighborhood early. Just getting a quick drink beforehand.
