Thursday's Meetup @ Mekong village in North Seattle

From: Jason T.
Sent on: Tuesday, December 20, 2011, 4:21 AM

I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:
http://www.meetup.com/JapaneseSeattle/events/43295772/

When: Thursday, December 22,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Mekong Village
12020 Aurora Avenue North
Seattle, WA 98133

This week, Elijah is standing in for Jason as your host.

We're meeting at a surprisingly remarkably decent North Seattle Vietnamese restaurant. We've been here once before, shortly after they opened, and it was nearly universally well received. Come out and enjoy a little "bounenkai" before the new year.

Elijah will be ordering some things in advance to share, so please make a note of any dietary restrictions in your RSVP so that he can make sure you'll have enough to eat. Otherwise, he'll arrange for an interesting assortment of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes. Please bring cash; prices are pretty reasonable. To improve the sanity of both the restaurant and the organizer, please don't ask to order separately.

This location has plenty of on-site parking. Bust route 358 is the best bet for public transportation, as it stops pretty close to the restaurant.

Nijikai will almost certainly be at the Pub at Piper's Creek, which has a remarkably unusual selection of beer and a smart bartender who is pretty good at matching your preferences to his eclectic offerings. He also has a pretty decent stash of liquor on the back bar if your interest lean toward higher octane options.

This Meetup repeats every week on Thursday.

If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)
