Some members have been concerned whether they can find our group in a crowded cafe or restaurant.

Here are some tips:

  • Usually, we place a sign on our table that looks like this: Meetup Tabletop Sign.pdf. We put it on the table where our group is sitting. You're welcome to print a copy of this yourself; that way, if your organizer is a bit late, you can find other members without any problem.
  • Several of the members post their photos on Meetup. Jason, the organizer, is pictured on the left. Feel free to introduce yourself.
  • Ask! In most venues, the place isn't so big that we're hard to locate. If you think you see someone familiar, or if you see a group of people gathered together, just ask "Are you with the Japanese meetup?"
  • In most cases, we're a large enough group that we have to get a reservation. You can ask the location's staff for a reservation under the name Jason.
