JavaScript History API and Client-Side Web App UI/UX

Rich client-side JavaScript web applications and UI features can be improved when they are integrated with the History API. It is common now through JavaScript to make our user's entire session with our web site/application happen after a single page load and all on a single URL. We can build view UI dynamically and load content in the background through our rich, sophisticated client-side JS web app. We strive to create web experiences that feel "native," but it is important to not ignore that the user still consumes these experiences in the browser.

Zach will show examples of improving JavaScript based UI/UX by using the History API's power to change the browser's location URL without reloading the page.

8:15/8:30 - Free time to discuss, network, hack, etc.

It's always a great event, hope to see you there!
