Thanks so much for letting me make some live-coded noise before the meetup tonight. I hope to show a JavaScript-based live-coding lightning talk in the very near future. Here's the captured audio stream that you heard:

I was using a Haskell-based DSL called "Tidal" to create all the sounds: I know it's not JavaScript - so I appreciate the group letting me hijack the social time to create some music.

Sorry I missed it, was upstairs at the workshop. Listening now...

Thanks for listening to my super quick blitz through loopalo. Here are the sweet sweet libs that helped me do a lot of the heavy lifting:
    -localforage for easy offline storage:
    -FileSaver to save SVG/Canvas/Text:
    -SnapSVG for SVG drawing:
    -SVG line "drawing" trick:
-dat.GUI, that great premade controller thing:

    And of course the site:
and repo(which will get less spaghettiish when I can get localforage to work with requireJS):

@Matthew - as a fan of SVG, I thought your project was totally badass. Nice job and thanks for sharing with us!

    Will tonight's presentation be webcasted?

    April 24, 2014

    • Adam T.

Hey Randall, I apologize that my talk wasn't casted for the web. I hope you find my slide deck (...) instructive, but I know it's not the same. If you have questions, please do reach out to me directly. Or if you want me to come and present to you and your company in person, my rates are very reasonable. ;)

In order to preserve the integrity of the RSVP I showed anyway despite the worlds largest headache. However I'm glad I did, good presentation.

Excellent talk by Adam, really enjoyed his Promises talk. Exception handling, the callback hell were well explained. Samples and his git repo for starter up were well structured and followed through. Great style. I was also able to join his live# presentation via the browser link. That was very cool. He should mention that next time for others in the back of the room.

Hey all - Kevin, James, and Jason have agreed to let me perform some live-coded music tomorrow during the 6:30-7:00 Food & Merriment time. Live Coding === improvised audio made in real time with code. Looking forward to it!

Adam, take a look at getify's "new JS employment quiz" - I "promise" that you will like it

I'm not going to make it this month, but is there anything going on May 8-10th? I'll be in town for a frontendmaster's class and I'm looking for some fellow JS'rs to hang with in the area.
