What instruments do you play or want to learn to play?

I have 2 guitars that I practice with daily. One stays out in the living room full time. I find that just having it available to pick up and play at any time (even for a few minutes) helps me practice more.

How long have you been playing?

2+ years. I always wanted to learn to play guitar but never owned one until recently so all previous attempts were short lived. Never lost the will so here I am as an older student with a younger mans desires.

How would your rate your skill level? (e.g. Novice, I can carry a beat 4 out of 5 times, I torture my poor guitar!, Expert, etc.)

Novice at best. Have learned a lot in the past 2 years, but realize that this is a life long journey. Not expecting to become a professional. Just enjoying the experience.

Can you sing? Do you like to sing?

Not very good at singing. Never sing in public but really enjoy belting one out when I'm alone in the garage. Singing can be an emotional experience. Good way to get feelings out and learn about ones self.

What would you like to get from this group?

Meet like minded people and share the joy of learning to play guitar. Interested in people with a passion for music and positive thinking.

Introduction

Been practicing for 2+ years now with no professional instruction. Still a novice/beginner/noob but enjoying every minute I spend with this wonderful instrument. I find practicing guitar kind of like therapy for the body, mind and soul.
