April 23rd JavaScript testing frameworks Chai and Jasmine and PhantomJS WebKit

  • Apr 23, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • Bank of America

  • Chai is a BDD / TDD assertion library for node and the browser that can be delightfully paired with any JavaScript testing framework.
  • Jasmine is a behavior-driven development framework for testing JavaScript code. It does not depend on any other JavaScript frameworks. It does not require a DOM. And it has a clean, obvious syntax so that you can easily write tests.
  • PhantomJS is a headless WebKit with JavaScript API. It has fast and native support for various web standards: DOM handling, CSS selector, JSON, Canvas, and SVG.

Brandon D'Imperio presents this our April meeting. Brandon is a veteran speaker and frequent attendee to many of our local groups, and his talks are always informative and entertaining with loads of real life code examples.

At the conclusion of Brandon's presentation we will have drawings for JetBrains, Mindscape and Telerik software!!!

Also thank you again to the crew at TEK Systems for again providing pizza and refreshments at our event!

Reminder: The meeting begins at 6:00 PM (networking), 6:30 PM (presentation) For a list of past speakers and presentation over the last 3 years, please visit http://jaxarcsig.wordpress.com

It was great meeting you all. It looks like most of the crowd are .NET developer since a lot of people were talking about XAML and Visual Studio.
