Second Sundays: Cool Jazz Open Jam @ Robin's Nest, Linden

Photo Credit: Jazzville, NJ member, Maurice Jefferson

Robin's Nest in Linden is truly one of the friendliest venues we've ever been to. Walk in once and you're part of the family.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that the open jam session lets everyone join in the fun. Musicians and vocalists are invited to get on stage and join the band for a few songs.

We've already had several members grace us with their talents and it's always fun to see someone you know join the band for a few numbers.

There is no cover and the food is excellent, so bring an appetite!

If you come early enough, you can find parking in the lot adjacent to the building. When it fills up, though, there are plenty of side streets nearby where you can find parking without a problem.

Just a warning about parking: It's a small lot and double parking is common. If you are on a time schedule, it's best to park on the street so you don't get blocked in. The area around the club is very safe and there is plenty of space on the side streets in the area.

Hope to see you there!

peace and jazz,

Hi Christian, this event officially ends at 10pm buy most people usually leave after the 2nd set, around 8:30 or 9pm.

I just joined your group, so ... hi! Thanks for having me. This sounds great, and I hope to join you some time soon. This Sunday, though, I'm hosting a uke jam at my home, so ... another time.

I think that this meetup will fall on Robin's Birthday weekend. I'll talk to Nicole about bringing a cake so we can celebrate.

Wow, great foresight! I wasn't even aware of Robin's bday! Let me know and we can chip in for the cake(s) - I assume we'll need multiple?

      Thanks, Maggie!
