Grew up in Oconomowoc. Moved to Watertown from Shanghai in August, 2012. I like to play just about any type of hobby boardgame. I currently play mostly with my family, my mom, and my brother-in-law, but in Shanghai my group's most common game was Power Grid. Since I can play lighter fare with my family, I would tend to look for more thinky games with a group, but I'm flexible. I tend towards worker-placement games but am looking to expand my repertoire. I've got what I would consider a pretty-good size collection and would be happy to bring any game along to a meet-up.
Hmmm... It's tough to narrow it down. Right now, I might say Belfort, Roborally, Troyes, and Wallenstein.
Friday and Saturday nights work best for me.
Dad of three. Teacher of second grade students. Obsessed with games... enjoy playing them and dabbling in their design.
This is a wonderful group of gamers... good guys who have a variety of preferences in games, yet who really enjoy playing many boardgames, whether they fall into their general preferences or not. The group has a fairly large selection of games when pooling all of their collections. Mostly, it's 30-something year-old dads who care for their families and enjoy having a good time with their friends. We also have a growing number of singles and a few ladies. Good beer, good games, and good conversation are a part of each night.
