Since it is finally mountain biking weather in the front range, it is time for my favorite local ride: Centennial Cone. This is a physically challenging ride with 5000+ ft of elevation gain on single track between 7000' and 8000'. The trails are fast, flowy, and smooth over rolling hills and beautiful scenery. Because of the seasonal closure of the Elk Range trail, part of the loop will be completed on paved mountain back-roads, so the ride will be about 15 miles.
Things you might want to bring: snacks, plenty of water, sunblock, tools (for flat fixes), a rain jacket. The ride usually takes around 3 hours.
We can also go out for lunch after the ride in Golden.
