North Table Mountain

The snow is melting(hopefully) and the days are getting longer so its time for the second ride of the season. This should be a relaxed pace ride because it is the second of the season. When I say relaxed I mean relaxed for the jeffco groups normal pace. It may still seem fast for some. Total mileage for this ride will be be 10-15 miles or whatever we can fit in before dark. Dust off your Mountain bike and join us as we kick off the 2013 biking season.

How about North Table Mountain for the Second ride of the season. We will make a loop through the Golden Bike Park and then head over to the trail. This may change if the trail conditions require it. We will not ride if it is to wet, muddy, snowy, icy... you get the idea. A few new trails were added and opened late last fall and Its a ride that we as a group typically don't ride. The new trail segments have made it more appealing and its early season so why not. Please be sure your bike is in working order. If you had mechanical issues at the end of last season and you have not addressed them they will still be issues in the spring. Due to the size of the crew and the different pace preferences within the group we will once again implement a split start. Those that prefer a more moderate pace should be prepared to leave the lot at 5:30 sharp. Those that like to go faster will usually leave the lot 10-15 minutes later than the first group. If you are not sure where you will fit within the group plan on the early start.

RULES: 1. Don't be late - we strictly enforce a 10 minute rule. We wait for No One (including myself) for more than 10 minutes. If you are late it's YOUR responsibility to catch up. We are all racing the sunset.

2. No whining. This is a VOLUNTARY ride. If we are too slow, too fast, it's too hot, too cold, or too windy...please stay home and eat Cheetos instead

3. Show up even if the weather looks bad, most times it looks way worse than it really is. If we can't ride due to weather we will end up heading to a local pub for Happy Hour so your efforts won't be wasted.
