Boardgames, Beer, & Bratwurst IV

Happy Holidays, fellow gamers!

Well, Christmas is over and the New Year is nearly upon us. Why not start the new year off with a relaxing afternoon of gaming at Zeppelin Hall Biergarten? I have a wide variety of strategy, word, and party games, including Telestrations, Taboo, and Ten Days in Africa, as well as classics such as Clue ("The Office" edition), Scrabble, and Monopoly. Or, feel free to bring along your own games--the more, the merrier!

Zeppelin Hall is conveniently located next to the Jersey Avenue light rail  stop, and just a few blocks south of the Grove Street PATH station. There's ample parking in the lot next door, and the Biergarten offers a great selection of domestic and international craft beers, Bavarian delicacies such as beef goulash and bratwurst, as well as more traditional pub fare.

The weather outside might be frightful (or, it might be 60 degrees and sunny--that's global warming for you), but an afternoon of gaming at Zeppelin Hall is sure to be delightful. So come on out and join us! Hope to see you there!

All the Best,

David

Saw Jay there and even Neva briefly. Funny, quite coincidentally there was another boardgame meet up there as well. Played Tammany Hall, a game about New York City politics during the late 19th Century. I got trounced by Gina and Vivian. I only won some wards in the last election and trailed the girls throughout the game. Anyway, I was more interested in getting the rules right (since I brought the game) than concentrating on winning, but, honestly, I only rarely win games. However, I like this game. A real brain burner. Easy to play but difficult to master. The key is in the scoring and becoming a leader of an immigrant group if your behind. A bit complex there. Vivian won every election for Mayor (3) but Gina won the last election and squeaked through for a win!

A day like this was made for sitting by the fireplace, drinking great beer, and playing games! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Biergarten!
