Jersey Harmony Chorus is now taking auditions!  JHC is the Princeton, NJ chapter, a part of Region 15, the Greater New York/New Jersey Region Sweet Adelines International which is a worldwide, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and teaching four-part barbershop harmony, an American folk art, for women's voices.

Under the direction of Kat Britt, our chorus boasts members from Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex, Ocean, and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey.  Some of our members have participated in Sweet Adelines for over 30 years. Others are novices.

Our membership includes women of all ages and represents a wide range of occupations and backgrounds. Our common bond is a love of singing and performing. Our repertoire includes popular ballads, lively uptunes, jazz, patriotic, blues... a wide variety of music that's fun to sing and fun to listen to.

We meet weekly for rehearsal on Monday evenings at the Recreation Hall of Griggstown Reformed Church, 1065 Canal Road, Princeton, at 7:15 p.m.  We have several coaching sessions throughout the year and optional workshops. The essential requirements for membership are the ability to carry a tune and the time to attend weekly rehearsals. All women are eligible to audition for membership.  Please visit our website jerseyharmonychorus.org.

For more information about membership, contact Carole Auletta, 732-236-6803.
