The Evolution of a Local Brand w/ Holly Migliaccio, Co-Founder of Rook Coffee

Holly will share her story of how Rook Coffee began, how the company is unfolding into a locally recognizable brand, the challenges associated with growth and what is the potential future for Rook Coffee.

About The Presenter:

Holly Migliaccio was born and raised in Monmouth County. After spending several years experiencing the city life between New York and San Francisco, she returned to her Jersey roots and settled back in Monmouth County in 2008.

Holly spent the first part of her career working the fast-paced world of the Internet for top companies such as Yahoo! and TheLadders.com. Holding various management positions over seven years in sales, marketing, operations and training, she built a well-rounded set of business skills that would eventually prepare her for her own entrepreneurial venture.

In 2008, Holly took a leap of faith and resigned from her corporate career to spend three months traveling throughout Southeast Asia with only a backpack. Upon returning to the states, Holly and longtime childhood friend, Shawn Kingsley, decided to open a business based on a shared passion...coffee.

Holly co-owns and operates Rook Coffee, a visionary coffee company complete with four coffee bars, a roastery and distribution center, a cold brew bottling business and an online retail business.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
