Raft: White Paper To Ruby Gem
Raft is a distributed consensus algorithm, like Paxos, that is designed to be easier to understand. It was developed by researchers at Stanford and emerged as a white paper earlier this year. There are now many open source implementations of Raft available in several languages.
In this talk we'll introduce the basics of Raft and discuss the process of turning an academic white paper into a published Ruby gem.
