There are few things that satisfy more than a hike through nature's beauty with your best friend loping beside you! Our mission is to coordinate hikes with people and their dogs with this same passion for enjoying the great outdoors! We have a young, mostly socialized pack of three pure-bred German Shepherds and wish to meet like-minded people with the same dedication to the health, behavior, and life long socialization of their German Shepherds and other large breeds. In the past we have been a part of a similar group of dogs and walkers; it has shown us the tremendous positive impact it can have on your pup and the relationship you share. With this example in mind we decided to start our own group, with a bigger emphasis on hiking and socialization and - Shepherds!
We will be exploring the best parks Ocean and Monmouth counties have to offer. We like to keep our hikes around 2 - 6 miles, knowing that these longer hikes, not only tire our dogs physically but they do wonders for their temperaments! We live by the credo “A tired dog is a good dog!”
Most of our pups are socialized, have had obedience training and are friendly with both people and dogs; therefore, we ask that your K9 companions are basically socialized and friendly - if not, just reach out to us and we may have room for you yet, as none of us are always on our best behavior!
We must ensure that the members of our meet up group are safe, therefore, everyone must keep their dogs up to date with all vaccinations.
