Ed Brackenbury is a licensed Marriage, Family and Adult Therapist. He has been in private practice for the last 35 years and has offices in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. In addition to his practice Ed recently directed the marriage, family education department at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.

He founded and directed the Institute for Marital and Family Therapy, which graduated over 250 therapists with Master’s Degrees in Marriage Family Therapy. He was also in secondary education for ten years.

Ed is a popular speaker at local, national and international conferences throughout the year. He is also helping train graduate students and church leaders throughout Eastern Europe in the fields of marriage, family and pastoral counseling. Recently he ended 5 years of radio ministry.

Over the course of his professional life Ed has specialized helping people through significant transitions in life. This has led to his recognition as an expert in the areas of anxiety, panic and post-traumatic stress disorders.

Ed and his wife Christine have been married 38 years and have two adult children.
