The John Bachman Group of the Sierra Club in Columbia, SC, has an Outings Program to involve group members and guests on local outings to natural and wilderness areas, in South Carolina. The SC Chapter of the Sierra Club has identified the many "Special Places" in our state which contain natural scenic beauty, wildlife habitat, and recreation areas, for all our citizens to enjoy. The John Bachman is one of the largest groups in the SC Chapter of the Sierra Club, representing many environmental communties in the midlands of South Carolina. Monthly group meeting are held on the third Thursday of each month in the Gamecock Room (first floor), at the Luther Lee Bldg. 1314 Lincoln St. Columbia, SC 29201. Programs consist of guest speakers who provide envioronmental educational programs and influening local policy issues related to conservation and the enviornment. All participants on a JBG Outing will be asked to sign a "Release of Liability" waiver prior to the outing. Some outings are limited to the size of the group due to the area.

Pets and firearms are not allow on club outings.  There are no fees for club outings unless stated. There are no membership fees to join the John Bachman Group meet-up.
