I suppose my main area of interest is using what science has revealed about the cosmos and our species' place in it, and using that knowledge to allow me to live a full and satisfying life that's un-influenced by what you might call "super-natural." So, astronomy, for me, has become a never-ending well of awe and inspiration, which allows me to flex my love of skepticism, critical thinking, and the idea that I am a life-long learner, while at the same time, maintaining the difficult and not always fruitful position of being an passionate advocate for these things.
