For the November drum circle, we are incorporating a food/funds collection to help our local Palatine Food Pantry. We will have bins to collect your non-perishable food items. If you wish to donate money instead, we will take all cash donated and add funds from previous collections to maximize the donation via wholesale purchasing to the Pantry.
Last fall we wanted to donate to the Pantry but instead of sending money went to Costco and made the most of it by buying cases and flats of food and delivering to the Pantry. The Palatine Food Pantry serves our local community for families having a tough time in the economy. It was a very rewarding experience to help people in need locally.
If you wish to learn more about the food pantry and items they are in particular need of, please visit them at http://www.palatinetownship.com/food_pantry/
