Are you a spiritual seeker looking for answers to life’s eternal questions? Are you interested in exploring the deepest Truths of life? One way do this is through an Enlightenment Intensive. An Enlightenment Intensive is a structured residential retreat whose purpose is to help the participants have a direct experience or direct knowing of the Truth, whatever that may be for each person. These experiences can be extremely powerful and life transforming. They often open the heart and provide a deep abiding peace. During an Intensive the participants explore one of four questions – Who am I? What am I? What is life? What is another? – using a particular method called the enlightenment technique. In this technique participants contemplate a question and communicate whatever arises as a result of the contemplation to another participant who listens without judgmental or evaluation of any kind. This method allows participants to inquire deeply into self, life, or another. It is extraordinarily powerful and may open the way for a direct experience of the Truth. To learn more, and to experience first-hand the method used in an Enlightenment Intensive, please join us for an informal presentation by Janeane Weprin, a fellow life-long spiritual seeker. About five years ago Janeane discovered Enlightenment Intensives, found them to be life transforming, and has been attending them ever since. She recently completed the training to give Intensives this summer. Enlightenment Intensives are not affiliated with any religion or organization. They are a spiritual path for some, such as Janeane, and for others they serve to support and supplement their own religious and spiritual practices. Janeane has been an active member of Countryside Church Unitarian-Universalist for 10 years where she has served on numerous committees, facilitated covenant groups, and has been a guest worship leader. She holds a masters degree in education and has worked in education for over 25 years.
