Abram’s Victory over Kedorlaomer

In Genesis chapter 14 the five kings of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboyim and Bela rebel against the king Kedorlaomer, which results in a battle at Siddim Valley where the five kings are defeated and Abram’s nephew Lot and his family are taken as part of war plunder.

Then Abram assembles a private army and defeats the king Kedorlaomer in Damascus area and brings back his nephew’s family along with other war spoils.

Here we are introduced to a mysterious character Melchizedek king of Shalem.
