I have finally decided to start my own meetup group at the suggestion of several meetup friends. Thanks, guys!

The group will focus on personal development/self-awareness/personal empowerment etc with a spiritual leaning.

My name is Patricia but I mostly answer to Trish! I have a background of over 35 years in education and personal development and am a qualified teacher and counsellor. I have written a range of courses and workshops ranging from topics such as Stress Management, Communication Skills, Creating Change to Life Coaching and Developing Your Intuition. I like to help people to improve their lives and love motivating and inspiring people.

This group will be informal and relaxed with a view to gaining more self-awareness whilst having fun and enjoying each others company. People who should join will include those on a journey of self-discovery, those who are looking to get more satisfaction from life and those who wish to re-assess their lives in the company of like-minded others.

I will offer a range of sessions ranging from 2 hours to half-days, full day workshops and possibly full weekends. Each session will have a detailed introduction so you can decide if it's for you or not.

We will also have a number of social events so that members can get to know each other better and share in each other's journeys.

Membership of Journeys of Self-Discovery will be limited to 'active' members who follow the below simple rules (as of January 7 2013):

Members need to attend a meetup within 6 months of joining to become 'active.'
Members need to attend at least 2 meetups a year.
Members need to log on to the site within any 3 month period.
Members need to have a completed profile and a photograph so we can each recognise each other.
