What distribution do you use?

Ubunut on desktops and netbooks, Android on phones and tables and Debian/Centos/Ubuntu on the server side.

Vi or Emacs?

How long have you been using Linux?

I have been using Linux since 1997, but managed to make it my full time os in 2001.

What do you like most about the open source community?

The people and the willingness to share information and help others.

What do you hate most about the open source community?

Sometimes we are our own worse enemy, bickering about little things instead of looking at the bigger picture; and egos. But I guess egos is the price you pay sometimes for working with brilliant people, of which there are many in the FOSS community.

I am an open source solutions integrator working in Jozi. Love the creativity that open source allows in designing simple solutions to complex problems. My languages include Java, PHP, Ruby, Groovy and Bash of course :)

What Mark C. is saying about this Meetup Group
