Free Concert Featuring Sarah MaLachlan, The Tenors, and Matt Dusk.

Grammy award winning singer Sarah McLachlan will be joined by Juno award winners, The Tenors to headline a free concert that also includes singer Matt Dusk, when the Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train makes its annual stop at Anderson Station in Calgary on Saturday December 7, 2013.

This Holiday Train signature event, in support of the Calgary Food Bank, will be hosted by Peter Mansbridge and kicks-off with the opening of the North Pole Station at 4:00 p.m. followed by the concert, which begins at 5:00 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a donation or non-perishable food item to the free event.

The North Pole Station, a magical village, will feature family-oriented interactive activities, including ice carving, hot chocolate and a chance for the kids to visit Santa before making their way to the concert stage.

While the event is free, those attending are asked to make a donation or bring non-perishable food items. Everything collected at each show stays in the community for local distribution.

This extra-special Holiday Train event is one of only three stops across North America where Canadian Pacific has added additional star-power to help shine a spotlight on the railways mission of raising food, money and awareness in the fight against hunger. Since 1999, the Holiday Train has raised about $7.4 million and about 3 million pounds of food for North American food banks.

We encourage everyone to use Calgary Transit as parking spots on site will be limited.

Agreed, Sarah sounded amazing. As good or better live than recorded. Chilly venue but a great opportunity to see her live!!

Hey there! Sorry, but don't think we can come tomorrow. I won't be able to persuade the kids to stand outside in minus 30! See you tonight anyone that's going :)

If I didn't have my work Christmas Party to go to, I would love to come see Sarah, I used to party with her at the Club Flamingo in Halifax, and later the Pub Flamingo...Say hi to her from me... my last name is Knowles, like Beyonce, if any of you gets close enough to her...I'm not sure what the venue is like for this event. Have fun!

Wow! This sounds great! Hope I can drag the 12 and 15 year old out :( Maybe, my son spends half his free time hanging around LRT stations! What's *that* all about!??
