PORCH SWING JAM!!! ACOUSTIC, SOFT ROCK, CLASSICS AND COUNTRY

THIS IS TO CONTINUE THE MUCH REQUESTED PORCH JAM AT SKEETER'S. I recently joined a meet up group in San Bernardino and want to make sure that I have ample time to enjoy both events. If this is too late for many jammers, let me know. I will have to avoid one or the other.
BRING ON THE ACOUSTIC VIBE THAT BRINGS THE TRUE TONES TO THE MIX. BRING ON THE 50'S THROUGH PRESENT IF THAT'S WHAT YOU CHOOSE. COUNTRY, CLASSICS, SOFT SONGS THAT ARE A FOREVER STATEMENT IN THE MUSIC WORLD. THE P. A. AND BASS AMP WILL BE PROVIDED IF NEEDED. WE WILL NOT NEED A BUNCH OF GEAR FOR THIS ONE. BRING YOU TALENTS AND SONG CHOICES TO THE SITE. IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS TOWARDS THE JAM ARE HIGHLY APPRECIATED. WE ALREADY HAVE SUGGESTIONS FOR GEORGE STRAIGHT, JOHN MAYER, EAGLES, CASH, DYLAN AND SO ON. LET'S DO THIS. WE CAN SET THE JAM TIME RANGE BETWEEN 6:30 AND 11:30. THAT SHOULD GIVE THE JAMMERS PLENTY OF TIME TO COME AND GO AS A TIME TABLE ALLOWS THEM . LET'S JAM !!!!

Sweet turn out last night, It was great to meet some more new players, have some veterans of the group drop by and play a few more new songs. Was a bit smaller crowd than anticipated but overall a great little jam. Not really loud and over powering. Had a few last moment cancellations but really appreciate all that attended. Diane supplied a few main dishes to munch on and Leendo added to the jam. Really love those soft hands on the bass and the thought to bring munchies and drink was awesome. I want to welcome Dave Brown to the group as it seems we just keep getting more and more great talent. Think he'll workout very well here once we open up into some larger and louder jams. Very talented ans a great voice. Country,Rock & Blues. This is getting better and better as we build our song catalogs. China Mon added a few more songs to the mix and I think we'll have them nailed in a few meet ups Rock'n Rick showed some more talent and Diane is starting to really bring life to the keyboards.

Yeah Skeeter! it was quite a night for jamming. I like how we worked out the arrangement for John Wan's rendition of CCR's "Who'll Stop The Rain". Now I really want to do more CCR tunes @ Chapparal, maybe their other rain song "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?", "Lodi" or "Suzie Q". Although the other jammers bravely helped me out on the tricky "Space Oddity" by David Bowie (including Skeeter's "countdown" background vocals while drummng), it may not be in ready in time to present @ Chapparal, although Jennifer could add a nice sax part during the instrumental break. Finally, the food was fantastic (I agree with Naz on the quality of the mini-tacos and guacomale), and liked endiing the jam with "Blind Wille McTell" on piano (the way Dylan originally recorded it). See you guys in Cucamonga next weekend.

4 stars because the maximum amount of jammers attended and the material presented was performed so well. A fun time. Oh, and the mini tacos & guacamole was absolutely primo...

Just curious if any one of you play the lead in Hotel California. Would love to jam with a killer drum, bass and lead for that classic Eagle's tune!

Love that song- but all I can do is sing it if I have the words.

I got a message to the effect of "When you started to RSVP there were 2 spots left, but they filled up during the time it took to RSVP. Well, I'm not that easily discouraged. Lookout Skeeter! I'm coming over anyway!

Sorry to bow out at the last minute, but my voice and body are very tired. I would not be a good addition tonight and will stay home to rest. Have a great jam.

Hey Danny; All of the meet ups until the Chaparral gig will be pretty much focused on those songs selected by the members. We will also be doing songs that are not on the list because many members will not be performing and/or attending that jam. I will dig through the song list that people have provided and let you know. Sorry I didn't make last week. I hope all went well. Rest up my brother. You know the doors are always open here when every you are ready.

There's a song I'd like to try and Lela can probably nail the vocal. Also would be nice to have the drum and bass going. It's " Venus" by Shocking Blue in "Em". It's an easy song with a nice beat. This is going back to 1969 !!!
