3rd Saturday at Mark's Place ---British, Classic Rock and Country & Folk

This will be the 2nd night of 2 scheduled Saturday jams per month. Let's do this. As you know, Mark and some of the other members have worked really hard to make this a split jam event with 2 or 3 rooms running. This makes it very appropriate to play both soft and crunching tunes. Thanks for all the efforts to make this enjoyable for all the jammers and their guest.

Sorry; I am a bit under the weather still. Great tunes last night. Nice that Jessica dropped by 2 jam and it was great to see DrumCat Mike in the mix once again. P A sounded great and you all are really coming around. Think it's time to get a 1 or 2 hr song set list tight so pick your favorite 3 songs and who you would like to add along with the performers and let's do it.. Great food and fun once again and the Kitty is starting to get Fat. Make sure you post your donations when you arrive so I can log them into the Money Page. Thanks again. Mario wants to set up a Chaparral Gig again... Are you ready for that ???? Let's Jam !!

Looking at the calendar November would be the month for Chaparral gig. The Paris Hill Park is strongly committed in Sept and Oct. Plus the regular jams. At this point we cannot just walk away from the Paris Hill Park performances. These performances represent both JDB2J and Inland Empire Acoustic Jammers. And there is value to them. This Chaparral gig I would like all members to reach out to friends and family through social media (Facebook, Yahoo, etc.) so we have a larger audience. A November date would give members plenty of time to work on their 3 songs. Lastly the new rules will let specific groups of jammers rehearse as a bands for future events. These are my ideas. Ok lets have some input from all members.

I think I'm just going to have to wrench myself out of that "pit" once in a while to catch what's going on in the acoustic lounge. I think I missed something!

what a night! While you guys jammed your asses off in the snake pit, it was Beatles night in the acoustic lounge... I got a chance to sing/play renditions of Fool on the Hill with flute, Eleanore Rigby with Violin and a slew of others well accompanied by Dave and backed up by Teri. Did most of Diane's favorites. Dave made me dig deep to get to the songs right. Jammed with Jessica on a short, tight jazz peice. Very slick. My three: 1. Painted on my Heart, Bm 2. The World I Know, Bm 3. I Believe, Em. All are posted as embeded YouTube vids and word doc files here. Oh. Gracie wants to do frajitas next time so think about sides... until then, hasta la bye bye...

This was my first jam, and it couldn't have been more welcoming! Everyone was really supportive, and made me feel comfortable, and a lot less nervous than I was! You all have something special here! Glad to be a member.
